Ifeanyi Ubah Tipped To Win Anambra Governorship Election

ifeanyi-uba1Emerging facts on the November 16, 2013 governorship election in Anambra State shows that the electorate may have unanimously chosenthe Labour Party candidate, Mr. Ifeanyi Ubah as the candidate to win the electoral contest. The exciting mammoth crowd that graced the occasion at the Holy Trinity Centenary field seems to suggest that Ifeanyi Ubah is the unassailable choice of the people.

A recent survey conducted by corporate concept, a research and information analysis agency in the 21 Local Government Areas of the State, highlights the reasons for the peoples’ collective endorsement of Ubah. Most of them said they have taken very critical look at the manifestoes of all the candidates going for the election and have no doubt that Ifeanyi Ubah seems to have done his homework better than the others.

Mr. Gerald Obidi who hails from the Anambra North Senatorial zone, the zone favoured by the incumbent governor, Peter Obi, for the governorship race, said his colleagues from across the state have done their scrutiny of all the persons involved in the November 16 governorship election. “We have seen their positions on security, empowerment of Anambra youths, industrialisation, programme for education, amongstother things, and do not see any other candidate whose programme can beat that of the Labour Party candidate.” He said that leaders of the over 50,000 member strong Anambra Women Association (AWA) who were all fed at the flag-off ceremony of Ubahpenultimate Thursday, where they also openly endorsed him, said that since their years witnessing of electioneering campaign, they have not seen any public office seeker in Anambra in the mold of the Labour Party candidate.

Meanwhile, Ubah has promised to build a strong economy to drive the entrepreneurial spirit of Anambra people, revitalise agriculture, provide world class healthcare system, provide infrastructure and above all, ensure transparency in government. Speaking before the estimated 70,000 crowd that witnessed his flag-off rally, Ifeanyi Ubah promised to give education the desired boost in the state, create 40,000 jobs annually in both the public and private sectors, introduce a new teachers’ salary scale, and publish annually, audited accounts of the state.
