HOW ARROGANCE COST OGUNNUSI HOUSE OF REPRSENTATIVES TICKET!
A popular saying goes: “Respect those you meet on your way up because you might still meet them on your way down.” This is what played out at the recently held All Progressives Congress primaries where the incumbent representative, Chief Abayomi Ogunnusi was beaten to the ticket. Ogunnusi emerged winner of the ticket four years ago when people gave him their support and he also promised that he would do his best to ensure that the people benefit from the dividends of democracy. In one of the meetings held at a hotel situated at the back of Excellence Hotel in Ogba sometime in 2010, the outgoing lawmaker promised the people of Ifako Ijaiye Constituency heaven and earth. He lavished some cash on that particular day and this gave the people some conviction that they were making the right choice, not knowing that Ogunnusi knew what he was doing.Read more in Global News magazine
