SOKOTO STATE GOVERNOR WORKING UNDERGROUNG TO ACHIEVE HIS PRESIDENTIAL DREAM IN 2019

The race for the 2019 presidential election is stylishly gathering momentum with unconfirmed reports that the former House of Representatives speaker and now Aminu Tambuwal may have decided to throw his hat into the ring to contest against the incumbent President Buhari.

A reliable source closed to this magazine disclosed that some politicians across all the geo structures in the country are urging Tambuwal to come out publicly to contest for the top job when the campaign kick off . This magazine further learnt that Tambuwal was at initial stage
was sceptical about contesting the election since the incumbent president may also decide to run for second term in office.

However ,the Sokoto state governor changed his mind few months back when he met a top politician who is regarded as a godfather clearly told him that in case he changed his mind he is going to be there for him when the chips are down.The politician with network all over the country disclosed that Tambuwal is one the best candidate from the North in case Buhari decided not to contest again in 2019

Tambuwal who is also known to be calculative and master strategist was sceptical about the proposal when it was first muted to him fearing that he cant achieved his long term aim of ruling Nigeria. This snag was later removed when the respected politician told him that already APC can’t win election in the country again with the numerous crises rocking the party and especially with the way Buhari is running the country putting into consideration that the economy is fast coming down.

With this assurance Tambuwal we gathered was a bit relieved and immediately he started consultations across political parties especially the party he is going to run because it may not be possible for him to run on the platform of APC said our source.

Tambuwal’s chances seems to be more blossom with the dwindling political fortune of former Kano state governor Rabiu Kwankwaso who is alleged not to be in the good books of some prominent politicians and power brokers.
Recalled that Tambuwal was warming and preparing hard to contested for the presidential post in 2015 election before he was prevailed on to forget it and support Buhari hence his decision to quietly went back to his home state and vied for the governorship election which he won.
