IBRAHIM MAGU ON BEGGING SPREE…DESPERATE TO SECURE THE NOD OF NASS

IMG_1223The embattled acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu is at the moment running from pillar to post in order to salvage what remains in his honour and integrity against the backdrop of the many problems he is facing from within and from without.

According to sources,since the Senate rejected the nomination of Magu as the substantitive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes following a security report before it, the acting head of the country’s number anti-graft agency has been exploring his many powerful contacts in order to see who could help him beg the leadership and principal officers of the upper house National Assembly.

Global News can now authoritatively reveal that Magu who has been found not to be above board in many of his dealings with some elements in the country was reported to be very busy during the last Yuletide period moving from one power broker to the other in Abuja and the North.

Magu who has been snookered by the Nigerian corrupt legislators who have patiently laid in wait for him in order to take their pound of flesh because of the way and manner he had exposed their excesses found solace in the failed integrity report of the anti-corruption from the Department of State.

Magu who has been found to have compromised his position as the head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) and has stepped on so many powerful toes in the Senate is allegedly planning to send emissaries to the Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy Ike Ekweremadu to beg on his behalf before the Senate resumes from Christmas and New Year break.

We also gathered that Magu who has been left in the lurch by his powerful friends in Aso Rock and indeed the cabinet of President Muhammad Buhari since his rejection to become the substantive head of the EFCC by the upper house of the National is leaving to stone unturned to get the nod of the Senate.

We also gathered that Magu at the moment is in talks with a former President of Nigeria who is very close to the leadership of both arms of the National Assembly who could weigh in on the matter by pleading with Senate President Bukola Saraki and other principal officers to have a rethink on their earlier decision to deal with Magu.

Ibrahim Magu amongst many other misconducts and excesses levelled against him by the Department of State Security and and Security apparatus in the country was said to have used his position as the acting head of the EFCC to favour some unscrupulous elements in the country and freely hobnob with them.
