TINUBU SNUBS AMOSUN AT RECONCILIATORY MEETING CALLED BY OSINBAJO
It was the surprise birthday bash for the delectable wife of the Vice President Osinbajo,Dolapo and the Akinola Aguda House ,the official residence of the Vice President was agog and soon became a beehive of activities marking the 50th birthday shindig of Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo whose hubby had invited the movers and shakers of the country to come and felicitate with.The party was already in full swing when his Excellency the Vice President thought it wise to mediate in the on-going feud between the National leader of the All Progressive Congress and the Governor of Ogun State Ibikunle Amosun. The Vice President we gathered had earlier called Amosun to a side and talked to him about the need to mend fences with Tinubu.
According to our sources, it was just a spur of the moment thing for Osinbajo who did not inform Tinubu ahead about the reconciliatory meeting but saw his birthday’s wife as an opportunity to mediate in the on-going feud between the duo and a possible end to the rift there and then. But as soon as Osinbajo approached Tinubu, we gathered that Tinubu just waved the issue aside with the back of his hand and his whole mien changed.
Meanwhile Amosun who is fast losing the game owing to the way things are panning out in Abuja is the one looking forward to ways of mending fences with Tinubu who is fast becoming the grandmaster of the Nigerian politics and may yet become the de facto Lord of the Manor in Aso Villa.
Our sources also reveal that from the moment Osinbajo mentioned his intention to settle the rift at the birthday party to Tinubu, the national leader of APC just recoiled to his shell and his body language immediately changed to a very hostile one to Amosun. Although Osinbajo tried and succeeded in making Amosun and Tinubu embrace each other, one could tell that Tinubu just did it for the cameras.
We also gathered that Tinubu who has been sidelined by Amosun and his cohorts shortly after the inauguration of Buhari as president was visibly angry after the whole saga did not spend up to an hour before he left the party.
