Exclusive: GOSGRA Properties in Fraud Scandal
Property business is no doubt a very lucrative one all over the world. This has indeed attracted many charlatans to the industry, one of which is GOSGRA Properties & Investment Limited, a company that has continued to defraud Nigerians in the name of selling land for them.
The company, located at 1b, Akinwale Street, off Thomas Salako Street, Ogba, Lagos, has defrauded scores of Nigerians with its fake Neighbouring Estate, Pakuro Phase3 scheme.
This magazine reliably gathered that while GOSGRA was collecting instalment payments from customers for the said land purportedly located at Ijere Wasimi, Pakuro in Ogun State, it has not even acquired the acres of land from the original owners.
Now, after many of GOSGRA’s customers have completed the 900,000 naira payment of the land, the company is now compelling them to pay additional unreasonable monies to switch to its Pakuro Phase1 housing scheme.
In a signed contract given to the customers, GOSGRA promised “to give the purchaser vacant possession of his/her plot of land after 50% payment…” but three years after some clients have completed their payment, the company is yet to do the allocation as contained in the contract.
“I have completed my payment since February 2015, and up till now, the company has refused to allocate my land to me. They have been telling me different stories since then. It is really a big shame on them. Right now, they want me to pay additional 300,000 to switch to Pakuro Phase1. It is unacceptable,” one of the aggrieved customers told this magazine.
On 22 September, a text message sent from GOSGRA to its customers reads: “Dear client, we apologise for the long silence and delay in Pakuro Ph3, this is due to unforeseen circumstances. But in order to avoid further delay in Pakuro Ph3, the management is giving an offer in Pakuro Ph1 for just 600k/plot as against the actual price. Call Fola 08091888888. Terms and conditions applied.”
Several attempts to reach Fola on that number have proved abortive, as she doesn’t pick calls on the line. Even the company’s customers have lamented that she doesn’t take their numerous calls.
The company owned by one Mr Adewale Adeniyi, 45 has been enmeshed in many scandals. One of Aeniyi’s cohort in playing on clients’ intelligence is Folasade .O. Ajala. Details of their modus operandi will be published soon.
Even staff of the company have been lamenting over non-payment of their salaries for several months. Some of them have been resigning.
