Exposed! How Pastor Oyakhilome Lied About Private Jet Gift
Fresh facts have emerged on the much talked about private jet gift supposedly given to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the General Overseer of Christ Embassy Church by Loveworld Music and Art Group. Reverend Chris Oyakhilome claimed that he received the gift of a Jet Aircraft at the Loveworld International Music Award which took place at Loveworld Convocation Arena (LCA) to close the week long International Pastors and Partners Conference (IPPC) held in Lagos Nigeria.
It was claimed that the Jet Aircraft gift was given to the Pastor by the Loveworld Music and Art group, an arm of the Believers Loveworld Ministry (a.k.a. Christ Embassy) trained by Pastor Oyakhilome to produce world class, worded and faith-filled gospel tunes as well as highly skilled and energetic kingdom dancers.
Believers Loveworld under the leadership and tutelage of Pastor Oyakhilome has produced talented worshippers Sinach, Evang Kathy Woghiren, Buchi, Frank Edward, Joseph Omo Ebhodaghe (Joe Praise), Eben, Ada Ehi Moses, Martin Phyke, Peter Tobe, Viwe Nikita, Samsong, Da Flame, Pee Yu. Obi Shine, Victor Ike, Sophia, Chris Shalom, T-Sharp, Sharon CSO, Deacon Raph, Isaiah, Eli J, Iyke Onka, Destine Destined Destiny and others.
But an investigation carried out by this Magazine proves that the Loveworld All Stars didn’t buy the controversial jet for the clergy man. As a matter of fact, virtually all the members of the entertainment group were not aware of the aircraft purchase until the news was trending on social media.
Some of the members of Loveworld Music and Art group who craved anonymity told our Correspondent that they were shocked to the marrow when the Pastor claimed that it was the group that purchased the aircraft for him as a gift.
“It is hilarious because how can we possible acquire an aircraft when many of us can’t even boast of one million naira in our respective accounts? Some of us don’t even have any private car. I guess the Pastor is just trying to hype us, but the bad side of the publicity stunt is that we have relatives who are now calling on us to assist them financially. The pressure is now on many of us from different angles,” a member of Loveworld group confessed to our Correspondent.
This Magazine further gathered that it was actually Pastor Oyakhilome that bought the aircraft for himself, but had to use the name of Loveworld as cover to avoid any public backlash.
It was also a strategy to sail into the heart of other members of the church worldwide, particularly at a time when the debate of tithing was the order of the day.
“One of his (Oyakhilome) aides told me that aircraft gift stunt was aimed at passing a message to members that he who sows bountifully shall reap bountifully, and to also discourage them from believing the claim that tithing is not the way to success,” our source added.
