Buhari in Abeokuta to commission Amosun’s uncompleted legacy projects
President Muhammadu Buhari is billed to visit Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State today. He would be commissioning some uncompleted projects abandoned by Ibikunle Amosun, the outgoing Governor of the state.
The uncompleted projects include OGBC digital studio, new modern Itoku market,
Amphitheatre, Ogun state Judicial complex and 250 bed tertiary hospital.
Those who spoke to Global News said that they dont know why Amosun is in a hurry to commission these uncompleted projects, few days to his exit as governor of the state.
Worker’s were at the sites of the project’s up till this morning working tirelessly to at least make the projects to look good for commissioning by the president.
Governor Amosun’s reign as Ogun State governor has been widely criticised for his failure to perform up to expectations. Some years ago, the Governor’s rice pyramid project was discovered to be a propaganda, after a huge media hype.
All over Ogun State, bad roads, uncompleted roads/bridges have become common sights.
The residents of Akute, Olambe, Ijoko and environ are the most hit with the Governor’s failed projects.
