Engr. Funmi Ayinke Honoured with Woman of the Year Award

It was another night of glory for Engr. Amb. Dr. Fumilayo Ayinke Waheed – Adekojo as she bagged the ‘Woman of the Year’ Award.Nigeria News honoured Engr. Funmi Waheed-Adekojo Funmilayo with the award of excellence in Abuja.

The event  which was held Thursday, 16th of December 2021 at the NAF Conference Centre in the nation’s capital city, had in attendance dignitaries such as the the Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency Mai Mala Buni;  Senator Ayim Pius Ayim, the Former Senate President and Secretary of Government of Federation.

 The Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Yahya Bello; the Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Engr. A.A Sul; the Controller General of Custom, His Excellency Col. Ahmed Ibrahim Alli; His Royal Highness Alh. Abdulrahman Farouk, the Majem Daura Hakimi, Rogogo, The Special Adviser to the President on MEDIA, Mr Femi Adesina, and other eminent personalities.

Engr. Waheed – Adekojo, while being presented the award by the former Senate President and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Ayim Pius Ayim, dedicated the award to every Nigerian women both home and diaspora.Funmi Ayinke Waheed Adekojo, a woman of versatile talents and great discipline has come into national consciousness for her immense humanitarian work, which she does under the Funmi Ayinke Foundation and majorly targeting Nigerian youths, the girl child and the disadvantaged in society. She recently embarked on a music ministry with her record label, the Funmi Ayinke Music Label combined with her thriving social media activities, as an avenue to reach the most disadvantaged youths and other less privileged Nigerians. Funmi Ayinke is indeed an enigma, a Nigerian youth doing great things in great ways.
