IJEBU IGBO PEOPLE ANTICIPATES A GRAND OJUDE OBA FESTIVAL WITH THE NEWLY ENTHRONED ORIMOLUSI

All hands are on deck in preparation for a more colorful, elegant and befitting outing at this year’s Ojude Oba Orimolusi Festival slated for the third day after the celebration of Ileya, the Muslim Festival of Eid-el-Kabir.

Ojude Oba Festival offers a platform for Ijebu Igbo citizens both home and in the Diaspora to celebrate religious tolerance, culture and solidarity with fun and pageantry.

This event this year will be the first with the highly revered presence of the newly crowned Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo after over twenty-seven years of interregnum.

In a statement by the Chairman, Ijebu Igbo Regberegbe in council and The Planning Committee, Otun Babatunde Ganiyu, the anticipated presence of the new Orimolusi Alayeluwa, Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo, Ojuromi VI, along with Ijebu Igbo the Council of Obas at this year’s festival has generated so much excitement which makes the festival significant for all sons and daughters of Ijebu Igbo and also elicited increased participation by corporate organisations.

Several activities like Town Storming, Entertainment Village, The Grand Ojude Oba Parade and Musical Concert are slated for this year’s event.

The festival promises to offer atmosphere of social interaction, maximum fun, conviviality and unity for indigenes, age groups, friends and stakeholders.
