Osinbajo’s afraid of Northern elements….As Buhari was hurriedly bundled home

IMG_1316Acting President Yemi Osinbajo who is currently presiding over the affairs of the country and who is perceived to be doing a good job in bringing everything together across the country is at the moment enjoying what we can call a graveyard peace what with the way some northern elements are feeling about the fact that he is holding forth for his boss who is currently recuperating in London.

Global News has exclusively learnt that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who was duly handed over to by ailing President Mohammad Buhari when he was leaving the shores of Nigeria to London on medical leave is now having serious “headaches” dealing with pressures from the powers that be in the north.

We have gathered that the some powerful Northern elements are seriously putting heads together on how to keep eight years Northern presidential slot which is currently being jeopardized by the ailing health of President Mohammad Buhari, the youthful zeal and erudition of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.According to inside sources, the vibrancy of the Buhari-led administration being experienced under Osinbajo is being seen in that quarter as a big threat that could lead to power being shifted to the South by so many factors that are now looming large.

And a constant and sad reminder for these elements is what happened during the presidency of Late Musa Yar’adua who also lost the northern slot to his vice in the person of President Goodluck Jonathan who got the reins of power due to the untimely death of late President Yar’adua. We hear some of these power-brokers are now apprehensive and are now seriously weighing up their options should the worst happen.

Interestingly though,Vice President Osinbajo according to sources inside Aso Villa has also found favour with some of these powerful blocks especially the urbane and “the progressives” amongst them but these set form a very small percentage of these very influential opinion leaders who are not only the “movers and shakers” of the north but also run the country’s political affairs at every dispensation.

Meanwhile Osibanjo who is now criss-crossing the country, meeting with different groups and leaders of thought on how to move the country forward has on many occasions downplayed the fact that he is moving at the speed of light since he assumed his new role by saying he is just executing the the plans and the time-table of his boss on various issues bedeveling Africa’s most populous nation and indeed its largest economy.
