Buhari Suspends Magu As EFCC Acting Chairman

The embattled chairman of the Economic and Financial crimes commission, Ibrahim Magu has been suspended by President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to BBC Hausa, on Tuesday afternoon, Buhari suspended Magu from heading the anti-corruption agency.

Magu’s suspension comes a day after he was grilled by an inter-agency presidential panel on allegations of Corruption and was later locked up in police cell at the force headquarters Abuja.

He was detained at the FCID in Area 10, Abuja, on Monday night on the orders of the committee that also questioned him on Tuesday morning.
