Former Custom Boss, Dikko Inde On The Run! ….his stupendous wealth exposed

Some editions back, your soar away Global News wrote a story on the former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs, Alhaji Dikko Inde. We wrote about his acquisition of a vast hectare of land for his mechanized farming business which he ventured into immediately after his tenure as CG Customs. For now, information reaching us is that Inde is probably now on the run from security agencies and the seeming dangerous hammer dangled by the Presidency on corrupt Nigerians, most especially elder statesmen who are involved in one dirty deals on the other. The most common battle of the Presidency against the corrupt men and women is their involvement in the $2.1 billion arms deal which was given out under the administration of ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan.

Nigerians are aware that several respected politicians and elder statesmen have been accused of collecting huge amounts of money running into hundreds of millions of naira from the arms deal supervised by erstwhile National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki who is now in the gulag of security agencies. Many notable names including that of Chief Olu Falae, Alhaji Rasheed Ladoja, Peter Odili amongst others were accused of siphoning the money meant to purchase arms and ammunition for the Nigerian military to ease the fight against insurgency and other criminal acts threatening the peaceful co-existence of the country.

However, information reaching us is that Inde, whom we reported to have also acquired world class mechanized farming equipments in preparation for the commencement of his farm is also on the wanted list as he was alleged to have also collected some certain hundreds of millions from the smoky arms deal. Moreover, some segments of the customs service are also alleging that Diko Inde left the treasury of Customs dry, which really frustrated his successor Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali who, like Buhari cried out that he had no money in the treasury to run the Nigerian Customs. This accusation and the national affinity of Inde to the arms deal are the more reasons he is being allegedly wanted by security agencies to answer some questions bordering on corruption issues.

Abdullahi Inde joined the Nigeria Customs Service in 1988. He had served in various customs commands including Seme Border, Tincan Island Port, Apapa, Imo Command, Kaduna, Badagry Area Command, Investigation and Inspection Headquarters, Abuja Badagry Area Command before he was appointed as Controller-General of Nigeria Customs Service on 26th August 2009.
