Report reaching us is that Super Eagles’ striker, Emmanuel Emenike is currently not happy with the Enugu State government over a landed property he purchased for a whopping sum of N30 million. The Fernenbache of Turkey star bought the land from a well-known property merchant in the state after he was ignored by the Abia State government where he initially wanted to buy the land. According to Emenike, [showads ad=GLO]he was surprised that after paying N30million and collecting all the needed original documents, he was asked not to develop anything on the project. “I actually wanted to use the land for a football academy aimed at discovering young and future talents for the country. [showads ad=GLO]I think this is my own way of contributing my own quota to the development of Nigeria’s soccer and other sports because we still plan to inculcate other sporting activities into the academy. But look at the way I am treated by my own supposed leaders.” [showads ad=GLO]

It could be recalled that some top Nigerian sporting personalities including Segun Odegbami, Mary Onyali, Joseph Yobo, Dosu Joseph, Taribo West, Falilat Ogunkoya etc all have their academies where several sportsmen and women have been produced to serve their country. [showads ad=GLO]
