Rebellious Redeemed Pastors Plot Adeboye’s Downfall …Send Hired Thugs To Disrupt Workers In New Auditorium …Say, You will not build it in your lifetime …Adeboye Fires back – God will destroy you all

AdeboyeIt was once stated that the world has finally mixed with the church, and it is evident in the current trend of things in one of the country’s larrgest and most visible church, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, as pastors within the fold of the church are hell-bent on frustrating the work of the church General Overseer (GO), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye over his decision to supervise by himself the construction of the church’s Heaven on Earth auditorium, which was announced during the church’s annual convention last August.

Sources revealed that construction works has since commenced on the auditorium, which, according to the man of God, will be sited on 90 hectares of land at Simowo, Ogun State and it will contain a 1.5 million seating capacity Heaven on Earth auditorium which will serve as the main auditorium, a youth auditorium which will have a 100,000 seating capacity, 10 standard cafeterias, 10 shopping arcades, ushers dormitories, banks, e-payment centers, and parking spaces that will accommodate about 90,000 cars. But then, some pastors of the church, who felt aggrieved that the man of God is staying true to his word by not allowing them chance to make money on the construction, decided to employ the services of some armed thugs which sources revealed are in the excess of 50 to disrupt work at the site.

The hoodlums who claimed they are the owner of some expanse of land within the property set aside for the construction, armed themselves with a fake survey plan of the piece that had earlier been sold to the church for N215 million an evidence of the purchase which is contained in an Ogun State revenue receipt dated 29 July 2009 and another N35 million for government’s survey with Ogun State Government receipt No. 0536521 dated 22 July, 2009. The Ogun State Bureau of Lands and Survey, Abeokuta had, in a letter dated 14th July 2009 and signed by the then director general, Bureau of Lands and Survey, Office of the Governor, Surveyor Gbenga Osinaike, also allocated the land “without prejudice” to the church for 99 years, which invariably means the land legally belongs to the church.

In a new twist, Global News gathered that the act of the thugs who armed themselves with guns, cutlasses and other weapons to storm the land was instigated by some pastors of the church who had been doing such business with them in the past. If it could be recollected, GN had previously reported how pastors of the church had at different occasions colluded with the land grabbers to rob the church of many portions land that the church would have bought only to be asked to come and re-buy them because the GO was not in the know that they had initially been acquired by the church.

Insiders revealed that the invasion is a desperate attempt by the pastors and their unholy business partners to get money from the church since the GO had decided he would not allow them feast on the construction as they usually do whenever the church undertakes any construction work. An example is the crisis they had with the contractor of the project the church is embarking on in the Yaba area of Lagos, which we published not too long ago.

The fracas on the land, which falls within Agufon village we gathered presented an opportunity for the hoodlums to rob and harass the residents of the village and agents of the church on the land. Though it is on record that the land legally belongs to the church, it was gathered that in the interest of peace the church still went ahead to renegotiate some portions of the land with the touts.

Interestingly, members of the Agufon family of Agufoye village, original owners of the land, have since distanced themselves from those trying to prevent the building of the new church auditorium. It was gathered that the brains behind the whole thing are some pastors of the church whom the GO had blocked from embezzling funds set aside for the construction. Though the issues have since been resolved, it was revealed that many of such altercations are still expected as the pastors have vowed to make sure the GO’s dream of completing the auditorium in his lifetime is prevented.

In the latest development, it was gathered that the GO had also placed a curse on anybody that might be harbouring any plans to disrupt the proceedings at the construction site. Sources revealed that the man of God felt bad when it became obvious that some of the church pastors were part of the plan to disrupt the construction of the arcade and he has therefore cursed them and their family for daring to do so because of money.
