Why Bank Directors, Bisi Onasanya And Alex Otti Don’t See Eye-To-Eye

The managing directors of First Bank Plc. and Diamond Bank; Bisi Onasanya and Alex Otti are currently said to be in cold war. These two bank generals began their careers as friends, fighting for a brighter future. But all of a sudden in the course of seeking fame and honour, their relationship came crashing

According to those in the know, the two were top level staffers of First Bank back in the days and they enjoyed cordial professional relationship until the then MD resigned his position, leaving the hot seat for grabs. Otti was hitherto said to be the top candidate for the job based on his brilliant performance and popularity in the bank, but boardroom politics dictated otherwise. Onasanya was chosen over him. This we heard did not go down well with Alex Otti and some of his loyalists in the bank but he kept his cool.

As time passed by, the relationship between the two degenerated to the extent that they started avoiding each other at social events while they officially tolerate each other.

This was said to be the situation between the two top bankers until Otti was appointed as the managing director of Diamond Bank Plc.

And now that they are on the same level, the cold war between the two is said to have escalated. Otti, according to an insider, still feels cheated and does not want to have anything to do with beneficiary of that action.
