FEMI OTEDOLA, DANGOTE, OTHERS Celebrate Abbah Folawiyo @75

It was indeed a deserved payback time as eminent Nigerians like Femi Otedola and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote honoured Hajia Abbah Zainab Folawiyo as she celebrated her 75th birthday.

Other dignitaries in attendance include Florence Ita-Giwa, Tunde Ayeni, Razak Okoya, Folorunsho Alakija and Daisy Danjuma among others too numerous to mention. 

Abbah Folawiyo, a woman of immense connection and influence, was also honoured by her only son, Segun Awolowo. It is an understatement to say that Abba was celebrated like an amazon.

The celebration held at Abbah’s Ikoyi home started with a prayer session amid fanfare. 

Hajia Abbah Zainab Folawiyo, who can be described as the doyen of the

social circle today has become one person whose life has continued

to inspire many others; especially young women who aspire to be great

by being focused, dedicated and hardworking.

Sisi Abba, as the light skinned and beautiful Hajia Folawiyo is fondly called, discovered that her strength lied in her passion, which was in fashion and she wasted no time in creating a career in it while growing up in Ghana.

Upon her relocation to Nigeria, she took it more seriously and with time, her skills in sewing began to be noticed and she blossomed gradually till she became popular among the high and mighty.

Meanwhile, at every point in her life, Abba made showing care and loving others a watchword and this rubbed off on her and she became the toast wherever she found herself even as her striking beauty, style and infectious personality endeared her to great men who jostled for her hand in marriage.
